Jillien's Little League Opening Day Hot Dog Bar

Today is Little League Opening Day in our area and in many areas across the country and tonight we are celebrating our 3 games with a "Hot Dog Bar.”

It’s simple and fun and we do it for many of our Summer celebrations:  team get togethers, birthday parties, World Series games, etc...

The best hot dogs to use are the Nathan's Hot Dogs and we have found they taste the most yummy when you just steam them on the stove.

Partner them with a hot dog bun and add anything and everything you like.
yum
Here’s what we do for our "Hot Dog Bar."

Hormel Chili, heated of course
Bush's Baked Beans, heated
sauerkraut
lettuce, shredded
tomatoes, diced
onions, diced
ketchup, mustard, mayo and hot dog relish
pickled jalapenos, sliced (mix diced, pickled jalapenos and hot dog relish together to create a jalapeno relish)
Swiss, cheddar, pepper jack cheese strips or shredded or both!
Dill and sweet pickles, either sliced or diced
Cucumbers, diced

Well you get the idea.  Offering lots of choices people can mix and match, compare and critique, create and enjoy.

I think if you try this idea at your next gathering you will “Hit a Home Run”
My 3 kids at their "Friday Night Lights" Celebration

Play Ball!
