I was driving, wondering what to "be grateful for" today. Queen was on the radio, "Bohemian Rhapsody" and there it was: Music.
I am so, so grateful for Music.
Music is a big part of my life and everybody else's.
Music is always present: in the background - driving, or at work, or when you're on telephone hold, or in a store, or in an elevator; or more prominently: personally, like your kick-a$$ playlist that gets you through your work out, or the song that comes on your alarm clock to wake you up or the song that is stuck in your brain, whether you like it or not; or socially, like when you go out dancing, or to weddings or pretty much any kind of ceremony or celebration - think Christmas carols, love songs, patriotic songs, graduations, and politics, every presidential campaign has a theme song and Hail to the Chief instantly cues us into The President; or spiritually, like during church service / Sunday school, or the meditations that I do that include mantra which can be sung or chanted.
What haven't we done to music?
So, thank you music. I am so, so grateful to you. Life really would not be the same without you.
