I was taking my cold shower this morning, wondering what to
focus the gratitude on.
Taking cold showers is a yogi thing; does great things for the body and feels great (afterwards!) and it inspired
me to thank my Spiritual Teachers.
Then I turned on the TV while I was getting
dressed and Convicted, the HBO movie
based on the true story of a wrongly convicted man who was exonerated through his
sister’s devotion, DNA evidence, and The Innocence Project. It was very sad and very moving, so I then I thought I should focus on
that.
Then I logged on to Facebook and found that today is one of
my Teacher’s, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa's, birthday so I decided I had to cover both, so here goes...
I am so grateful for Innocence Project. Grateful that there is an entity
comprised of people who have taken it upon themselves to help exonerate the
wrongly convicted. Thank you
Innocence Project.
And I am so, so grateful for my Spiritual Teachers. They have helped me understand myself
and to find release from everything that gets in the way of my connection with
God. My first spiritual teacher
was my granny, my Dad’s mom who connected to God through the teachings of Jesus
Christ and the grace of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

And I am so grateful to all my subsequent teachers, in chronological
order: John Grey, Gabriel Hall,
Patanjali, BKS Iyengar, Saul David Raye, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Yogi Bhajan, Shakti
Parwha Kaur Khalsa, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Gurushabd Singh Khalsa, Swami
Chidanand Saraswati, Sadhvi Bhagwati, Janet Atwood, The Bhagavad-Gita, Tej Kaur
Khalsa, Yogi Vishvketu, Chetana Panwar, Swami Vivekananda, Stephen Cope,
Esther, Jerry & Abraham Hicks, Sat Siri Kaur, Harijiwan Singh Khalsa,
Snatam Kaur Khalsa, Guru Dev Singh Khalsa, and Guru Singh Khalsa. Thank you Teachers, and thank you to their Teachers, and their Teachers...
And, thank you Granny, for starting me on the path. I love you and feel you with me.
Love,
Rachel
