Jillien's Side: $1.00 FUNdraiser

If you are looking a perfect "FUNdraiser" for  school, sports or any organization here is a great one and it is simple, too. 

Have everybody pitch in a few dollars and purchase one of the popular items of the moment, something that everybody wants.  Nothing too expensive - an itouch, which is $200, is always a good pick, or a hand held gaming device would be great, or anything, just as long as it’s something that’s HOT.

Then sell $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win this HOT item.  Decide how much money you need to raise, divide it by the number of participants, and have each participant sell this minimum number of tickets for $1 each.

The bottom line is: none of us wants to have to sell "STUFF”.   All of our friends and family are having to sell "STUFF,” too, so it’s uncomfortable to ask them to buy from us and who really wants a $20 dollar bucket of cookie dough anyway?

BUT it’s EASY to ask a neighbor, teacher, friend, for $1.00.  This price is magical.  

Offer an incentive for the participant who sells the most raffle tickets.  My team offered $100.00 cash for 1st place and $50.00 cash for 2nd place. 

We had a team of 30 kids and in 2 weeks we made over $3000.00 by selling $1.00 tickets.
