Jillien on Shutterfly.com

Those who know me know me with a camera in my hand, always.  I am by no means a professional photographer nor do I pretend to be one.  I am just a friend, daughter, sister, wife and mom who likes to capture every moment for everybody.

Years ago this was an expensive task: developing each roll of film and then weed through the bad pix to find the good ones was an expensive endeavor.  Digital photography has changed everything.  Now you can take 50 shots of each child trying to put that bat on the ball or 50 shots of each child trying to score a goal and you will you get that shot, perfect for framing.  Thank Goodness for Digital Photography!

But what do you do with all those other pictures that you have of all the kids on your team?  Or those from your kid’s class? Or the ones from the sleepover?  Keeping 200+ pix from every event on your computer will fill up your hard drive fast!

Well for me the answer for me was simple: www.shutterfly.com

My oldest child, Hunter, is now 12.  I was introduced to shutterfly.com when he was just 5 years old and I have been a member of shutterfly.com ever since.  I have created sites on shutterfly.com for each of his classrooms and each of his sports teams since joining and I would highly recommend you do the same. shutterfly.com has housed all of my photos for the past 7 years and note only are they totally organized but they are also there any time I need them.

Last year Hunter graduated from elementary school and with the help of www.shutterfly.com I was able to pull photos of him with all his friends from every grade and created an amazing DVD for them as a graduation gift.

shutterfly.com is also a great way to stay in touch with the members on your team, parents in your class, grandparents etc...  Besides the photo stuff, shutterfly.com is an interactive website where you can post daily notices about your class, organization or sport.

Additionally, last year our school was able to raise $2000 courtesy of shutterfly.com because the majority of classrooms at the school created classroom websites on shutterfly.  Now, all the students and parent have access to these memories and can enjoy them or do their own DVDs…

You can also use shutterfly.com to publish Photo Books from the photos in your shutterfly albums.  I create them each year for each of my kids, their friends’ birthdays, coaches, teachers, grandparents, etc.  The Photo Books are definitely one of my "Go To” gifts: easy, personal and I know they will be appreciated.  You can also order professional prints, note cards and calendars with your images.

If you have not visited this website shutterfly.com do it! I believe you will be as happy as I have since 2006.

Jillien
